About the work: Kotodama refers to the Japanese belief that mystical powers dwell in words and names, also means soul of language or power of language.
Masato believes that words have a life of their own and can fly to spread. For different people, they can bring redemption or deadly harm. May there be fewer hurtful words in the world and more warm words to save others. Creating the artwork KOTODAMA went very smoothly, almost seamlessly from conception to completion. This is one of Masato Ohata's favorite works.
